Fees Structure & Scholarships

Fees Structure B.Tech. Students 2013-14

This being an Institute dealing with both degree and diploma students in the same infrastructure the diploma students no doubt will get enormous facilities for their curriculum development with payment of the fees as will be decided by the management from time to time.

The fees structure of Govt. of Orissa will be applicable for Diploma students of IGIT, Sarang.

N.B.

  • The fees structure may be revised as will be revised/modified by the management of the Institute, without any prior notification
  • All 2nd and 3rd year students are also to pay the same fees except one time refundable fees
    • Student desirous to stay in the hostel shall have to pay Rs. 2500/- as Mess advance at the time of allotment of accommodation
    • Students seeking re-admission to a particular year/class will pay Rs. 100/-. Students are to pay their monthly hostel charges as per the actual for the respective months as will be notified by the Superintendent in the hostel before being permitted to pay the institute dues.

All the fees paid including the caution money deposits and mess security will be forfeited to the institute, if a student is removed or withdrawn from the institute without completing the hole course. Mess advance may be refunded after deduction of dues if any.

In case of new entrant who wants to withdraw himself from the Institute after admission, he should be supported by his parent/guardians giving reason thereof. No such application will ordinarily be entertained after 30 days of the respective classes. On necessary approval of the withdrawal request, the following fees may be refundable after deduction dues if any.

  • Institution general caution money
  • Mess advance

General Rules for Payment of Fees

A student is required to pay all the dues under the column 2 of the “Schedule of Fees” which includes the dues for the 1st instalment at the time of admission.

All the fees paid including the Caution Money deposits & mess security will be forfeited to the Institute if a student is removed or withdrawn from the institute without completing the whole course. Mess advance may be refunded after deduction of dues if any.

In case of a new entrant who wants to withdraw himself from the Institution after admission he should submit a written application duly supported by his parent/guardian giving reasons for the proposed withdrawal. No such application shall ordinarily be entertained after 30 days from the starting of the respective classes.

The Institute caution money & mess security deposits are refundable after deduction of dues, if any, only after the student finally leaves the institute on completion of the course. For this refund a written request shall be submitted by the student.

After enrollment to any semester on payment of 1st installment dues of the semester a student fails to deposit his second & subsequent installment dues on dates notified, he will be liable to pay fine Rs. 5/- per month or part thereof for each installment of fee within the semester. Students are not permitted to appear the Institute examination without clearing installment dues.

Enrollment to Subsequent Semester
Enrollment to subsequent semester is to be made by paying the dues on fixed date and when notified. Such students who are not able to enroll in time will be treated not to be the rolls. They may be readmitted with a fine Rs. 100/-within 30 days failing which they will not ordinarily be allowed to take readmission at all to the respective semester. Such students will be required to leave the Institute and hostel and may take readmission in the next session if academic regulations permit.

It is therefore the responsible of the student and their parents/local guardian concerned to arrange and remit the fees on or before the due date. In case the student is not available in the campus for reason whatsoever. Parents/Guardians should ensure that the Institute/Hostel dues are paid within stipulated date.

Scholarship & Stipends

The students depending on their merit can avail scholarships and stipends during their study in the Institute. Brief details of such scholarships are given below

  • National scholarship of Government of India awarded by the Government of Orissa will continue during the study period in the Institute.
  • National scholarship of Government of India awarded by the Government of Orissa will continue during the study period in the Institute.
  • Loan stipend is sanctioned by the Government of Orissa, Education of Youth Service (L.S.F.) Department.
  • Post-matric scholarship is awarded by the Harijan Tribal Welfare Department, Government of Orissa to the S.C. and S.T. student during the study period.
  • Institution scholarship is awarded by the Institute to the best student of each branch of degree & MCA.
  • National scholarship to the children of primary/secondary school teachers is awarded by the Government of Orissa.
  • Financial assistance to the children of ex-service personnel is awarded by the Govt. of Orissa.
  • Free studentship will be allowed exempting tuition fees to some student. Only 2nd, 3rd & 4th year B.Tech.students limited to 50% of the total strength.
